Tulsa Law Review

Volume 51, Number 3 (2016)

Editor's Note

"[T]here is no real ending. It’s just the place where you stop the story.

Frank Herbert’s words apply to much more than just the stories about which he wrote. Each year, the Tulsa Law Review transitions to a new board, and this third issue marks the official conclusion of our fifty-first year of publication, the 2015-16 academic year, and the duties of the current editorial board. This year, the current editorial board, consisting of both third and second year law students, faced many challenges this year but showed an incredible perseverence to overcome each hurdle. The compilation of volume 51 exemplifies the hard work, sweat, tears, and tireless nights put in by each member.

Not only did the Tulsa Law Review experience many changes throughout this year so did the University of Tulsa College of Law. We welcomed Dean Lyn Entzeroth as the new dean of the College of Law and mourned the loss of the beloved Professor Bill Rice. This year also has marked the retirement of some professors and the start of exciting new careers for others.

A special thanks to the Articles Research Editors, Luke Moyer, Roxane Gebhart, Deric McClellan, and Zack Brandwein, for selecting thought-provoking articles for this issue. I am incredibly grateful for all of the staff’s hard work and dedication in putting together this final issue. Many thanks to the wonderful authors included in this issue—I have personally enjoyed working with each of you, and I appreciate your commitment to helping the Tulsa Law Review continue to grow.
